Fire information
Interior logs and stumps continue to smolder. Local crews are monitoring the burned area, and are conducting erosion control and hazard tree removal operations. There are no evacuation advisories in effect, but some roads within the fire area remain closed. The fire is located on the Fremont-Winema NF and private lands.

Fire information
Little fire activity remains within the lines of the Smith, Big Hamlin, Mule Creek and Wildcat fires. Operations are focused on road clearing and erosion control. Evacuation advisories removed. Road and area closures remain in effect. The complex is located on the Umpqua NF and private lands.

Slash and hazard tree removal operations continue along 185 miles of forest roads. A BAER IMT is evaluating how severely the soils and vegetation were burned by the fires, and is prescribing restoration measures. No evacuations are in effect. Closures remain in effect for roads and trails. The complex is located on the Umpqua NF and private lands.

Fire activity is low in isolated areas within the fire line. Suppression repair and erosion control operations are being conducted. Road and area closures in effect. The Jack Fire is part of Rough Patch Complex on Umpqua NF. Private lands affected.

Fire information
Logs and slash are being removed from forest roads, and erosion control operations are ongoing. Fire activity is low. No evacuation advisories remain; some roads near the fire scars are closed to public access. The complex is located on the Willamette NF.
Bull Complex Aug. 3, 2021 24,894 0 20% 12 miles NE of Detroit Lightning Type 3 IMT
Fire information
Periodic rain showers have reduced fuel receptivity resulting in little fire activity. Operations underway include suppression repair, erosion control and equipment backhaul. No evacuation advisories are in effect but road and area closures remain in place. The fire is within the Bull of the Woods Wilderness on the Mt Hood NF and lands in the north end of the Willamette NF.

  • Rain showers, light winds and cool temperatures are expected today across western Oregon. Somewhat stronger winds will take place in central and eastern Oregon. More rain with continued cool temperatures is expected this weekend. A stronger weather front is predicted to enter the region Sunday and Monday, bringing stronger winds, more rain and snow to higher elevations.
